2013, Pertamina Realized Seven New Oil and Gas Wells

Tanjung, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - In order to increase production, PT Pertamina exploration and production assets in Tabalong Field V Tanjung, South Kalimantan, has realized seven new oil and gas wells in 2013.

Field Manager of PT Pertamina EP V Tanjung Field assets, Heragung Ujiantoro, said here on Wednesday the addition of new oil and gas wells that have been realized are spread in Subdistrict Tanta, Tanjung and Murung Pudak.

"In addition to adding new oil and gas wells, Pertamina optimizes old wells by applying injection technology, so that old wells could become productive again," he added.

He admits the target in 2013 is actually 10 oil and gas wells, but by reason of limited budget, this year only seven new wells could be realized.

"Three new oil and gas wells in the Warukin village and subdistrict of Tanjung indeed we delay due to budget 

reasons, so we will continue implementation in 2014," said Heragung on the sidelines of a mass circumcision social 

event in the subdistrict Murung Pudak.

With the addition of new oil and gas wells in some districts, Heragung also expect a production target of 4,500 

barrels per day can be met. 

But no denying production of some new oil and gas wells is not optimal, so the current production performance of 

Pertamina Tanjung only about 4,200 barrels per day.
