Muhammad Shalahuddin Ayyubi (20), a student from Tapin District, South Kalimantan, who was studying in a university in China, and has returned home, undergoes an incubation held together by the local Health Agency and North Tapin Community Health Center (Puskesmas).


Secretary of the agency Khaerudin, SKM, MM, in his office on Monday (Feb 10, 2020), said, the student after being picked up by the agency's Disease Control official on Saturday (Feb 8, 2020), his health condition is kept being monitored.

"The student lived in Nanjing City about 500 kilometers from Wuhan, Hubei Province, which is the epicenter of the coronavirus (nCoV) in China," he said.

Ayubi right now, Khaerudin pointed out, is following the 14 days incubation period. During that time, the agency keeps checking his health, at least once a day.

"Health checking continues to be done during 14 days by the surveillance team from Health Agency and North Tapin Puskesmas," he said.

The result of health checking today, Ayubi is in healthy condition, but the agency urged him not to do any activity outside during the period of incubation.

"Truthfully Ayubi, when returned to Indonesia, has been passed through permanent procedure of health checking, from China airport, then Thailand, to continued to Jakarta, and the last in Banjarmasin, the result was he has a health condition," he admitted.

Meanwhile, Regent of Tapin HM Arifin Arpan responding the case by urging the residents who have relatives who study or work in China to immediately report to the local village head to be registered.

"We also have spread a letter of appeal regarding the coronavirus, and the public does not need to worry, because we have asked the Health Agency to conduct surveillance to one of our citizens who went to school in China and just returned yesterday," he said.
