Two students from Balangan who are studying in China finally returned to their homeland, the Bumi Sanggam (nickname of the district), South Kalimantan.

They both came home not only for a holiday, as China is now having winter, but also because of the deadly novel coronavirus outbreak, which China grapples to contain the outbreak.

M Arif Fadillah and Fitriani, the two Balangan's students, are studying in a university in the Jiangsu Province. Although it is a different province from Wuhan, the epicenter of the coronavirus, the spread of the deadly disease has been alarming the residents and students in Jiangsu.

Fitriani studies at the Jiangsu Vocational College of Finance and Economics in Huai'an City, while M Arif Fadillah takes a lecture at the Jiangsu University of Science and Technology in Zhenjiang City.

Fitriani admitted, they previously had no plan to go home during the winter lecture holiday, but related to the danger of coronavirus they then decided to go home.

"No plan to go home before, but because of worrying about the danger of coronavirus, we finally decided to return to Indonesia and our homeland," she told.

When in Jiangsu, Fitriani recalled, the campus management always insisted to wear face-mask, sunglasses, and gloves, when doing activities outdoor, and to always keep clean.

"When we were about to go home on January 28, we had to go through a body temperature check at the airport. Then again in the journey on January 29, so we arrive in Indonesia, re-examination was carried out, until we (finally) arrive home in Balangan," she told.

Fitriani and her five colleagues from South Kalimantan, who study in China, returned to Indonesia safely after going through a pretty strict examination.
