Banjarmasin , South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Banjarmasin Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) appealed to the citizens of this city and surrounding areas not to park on the side of the national road.
Head of Banjarmasin Satlantas, AKP Hendri N Chandra Sik, here on Monday said, according to the rules people are forbidden to park on the national road. National roads in the city of Banjarmasin start from Jalan Ahmad Yani Km 1 to Km 6.
Hendri explained, parking meant a long stop or a long pause not a briefly one. To permanently prohibit it, police first making an appeal. Especially for those who often parked on the Ahmad Yani Km 1 to Km 6.
"We will do an appeal for three days that this parking is banned. If offenders met parking on the national road then will we do enforcement," he said in his working place.
Hendri admitted, some easily found are those who used national road as a used cars business selling. In the Traffic Act and Road Transport it is strictly prohibited. So, it will be the first to be disciplined.
As for yellow plated taxi and parking on national road it would be evaluated first, because of their presence in the interest of the people.
