Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono warned that local officials were either governors, mayors, regents, parliament and others not to be tempted by corruption that has now brought many victims.

"Prevent corruption and irregularities, as many victims, once again it had many casualties. Officials in the area do not be tempted, let us stop corruption," the President said in Banjarmasin on groundbreaking and inaugurate of masterplan projects the Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development Indonesia ( MP3EI )  in Banjarbaru on Wednesday.

The President's warning about rampant corruption delivered in a tone full of concern, at the end his speech without notes, in the presence of four Kalimantan Governor, the Regents and the Mayors of South Kalimantan as well as the entire invitation.

Repeatedly, the President has said that many victims of the temptation of corruption, so that all officials should always be determined to stop corruption.

According to him, it used to be a lot of corruption in the central government, but now with the implementation of regional autonomy, in which the district and the city has considerable authority in managing the budget, the parliament and the Council have extraordinary powers, the corrupt behavior has shifted.

"Corruption is now a lot going on in the area , and let's cut it. Remember officials do not be tempted of corruption," the President repeated.

First he added , corruptors safe and hardly touched by the law , but now do not expect , criminals can hide. "So let's run a clean government in accordance with the applicable rules," he said.

On that occasion , the president also called on the Governor and all regent to work harder to make South Kalimantan as a new economic growth center, a province that is able to contribute and connect between regional economy each other.

"I hope  this MP3EI project continued and completed in accordance with the set time , I will check with (Minister of Economic Coordinator) Hatta Rajasa, make sure the infrastructure that is built to enhance the welfare of the people, " he said.

The President also advised, so that provincial and local governments could be open to incoming investors , as well as provide convenience , especially for the licensing process.

Through the easy and not too complicated permit process, a lot of investors will be coming in, which means that economic growth will grow faster.
