Dwi Warna Now Car Free Areas

Barabai, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Green open space (RTH) around the field of Dwi Warna now become a very profitable area for merchants, as it is always crowded with people.

     

Central Hulu Sungai (HST) BPLH head  Tamzil here on Thursday said the large number of visitors brings many blessings to the 50 merchants who sell around Dwi Warna, from food vendors, drinks, until the children's games.

      

"No less than Rp100 million spent by residents every week. This provides additional income for small traders, " said 

Tamzil.

     

While Dwi Warna field is now different. It physically clean and beautiful, so that this green open space is increasingly favored by the HST residents. "Both as a sports venue or just spend time enjoying with family," he said.

 

Now to strengthen this RTH as the pride of Barabai, Regent HST H. Harun Nurasid make the area as a Car Free Day for every Sunday.

The launching of the Car Free Day is coincided with the launching of Love Movement of Barabai Berseri as a first 

step to restore Barabai as Bandung Van Borneo.

"Come on! Together we restore Barabai pride nickname as Bandung Van Borneo," Harunn cried in front of thousands of students at the launching ceremony as he invite the entire community to love tree planting and beautify the environment together.
