The Ministry of Trade has named South Hulu Sungai (HSS) as the 2019 Orderly Measurement Region (DTU) and the award was received by acting Head of HSS Trade Agency H Gusti Achmad Riduan who represented Regent H Achmad Fikry.
The award in the form of charter and the Decree of Minister of Trade regarding the establishment of the HSS District as 2019 DTU from the Minister of Trade to Regent of HSS was handed over at the Trans Luxury Hotel, Bandung, Friday (Dec 20, 2019).
"Thank for the direction of Regent and Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, District Secretary HM Noor, government assistants, and support from all people of HSS in realizing DTU and trade that brings prosperity in the world and the hereafter," he remarked.
The award, he said, based on field assessment and verification conducted by the central team of the Trade Ministry on September 18-19, 2019.
from the results of the assessment and evaluation meeting of the central team, HSS District was declared eligible to become the 2019 DTU, and the submission was made at the inauguration of DTU.
In 2018, HSS District was submitted to the Ministry of Trade to be included in the 2019 DTU assessment and formation.

In accordance with the Decree of Director General of Consumer Protection and Orderly Measurement No.221 year 2018, the technical and stages of formation of DTU include data collection, legal metrology dissemination and guidance, making work commitment in order to support the formation of DTU, calibrating and re-calibrating service of UTTP (weighing, measurement tools and equiment), compliance and evaluation. These stages began in January and ended in October.
"DTU's target is to strengthen consumer protection and is expected to provide a positive image of the region, especially the HSS District," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, the HSS DTU establishment team has been engaged in activities, including the formation of the team with Regent's decree, calibrating service of gas station and bridge scale, markets, fright forwarding service, pawn shop, rice mills, and others.

UTTP data was also updated in the markets, mentoring and supervising of markets through re-calibrating activities, socialization of metrology as well as signing of work commitment of several related offices, agencies and private sector.
