The Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry together with the leader of Ibnu Atha'illah Kapuh Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes Kapuh) KH Muhammad Riduan Baseri harvested tilapia at the school's pond in Simpur Sub-district.

Head of HSS Fisheries Office H Saidinor in Kapuh, Thursday (Nov 21) said, the harvest held in commemoration of the 6th National fish Day 2019, which was accompanied with the submission of biofloc pond aid package to the ponpes.

"A total of 12 pond of the assistance were submitted by the Head of Freshwater Cultivation Center (BPBAT) of Mandiangain, each pond filled with one thousand fish, and the handover of assistance by the regent to fishermen representatives in the form of boats, GPS, tempirai, and Fisherman Insurance Card," he told.

The Regent of HSS H Achmad Fikry remarked, the assistance provided, in addition to the need of the Islamic boarding school, especially students (santri), was a step taken by the government to support the independence program, one of which was through ponpes.

He thanked the BPBAP Mandiangin who had provided assistance. He asked the HSS Fisheries Agency to continue providing guidance to the ponpes in raising fish.

The event was attended by heads of government agencies, head of Simpur Sub-district, Military Commander of 1003 Kandangan Lt. Col. Inf. Suhardi Aji Sriwijayanto, chief of local village, and residents.
