The South Kalimantan Youth and Sport Agency (Dispora) instruct the contractor to boost or speed up the renovation of 17 Mei Stadium Banjarmasin.
Head of the agency H Hermansyah, after a work meeting with the DPRD's Commission IV overseeing public welfare here on Monday (Oct 28), acknowledged that the implementation of renovation of the stadium, which is the homebase of football club Barito Putera and a match place for national league, has not reached the target.
"To this time the renovation should have reached 42, but it turned out not yet," said the former head of Banjarmasin Market Agency.

Now, because of the situation, the contractor forced to put it workers to work overtime, maybe 24 hours alternately, to fulfil the target to avoid the problem at the end of the fiscal year.
However, Hermansyah, who is also Chairman of South Kalimantan branch of the Indonesian Mosque Youth Communication Forum (BKPRMI), optimistic by th end of year 2019 the renovation of the stadium to reach the target.
"The renovation of the 17 Mei Stadium will continue next year with an allocation of IDR40 billion from the 2020 South Kalimantan Regional Budget (APBD)," he remarked.

In addition to the stadium, the Provincial Government of South Kalimantan through the Dispora in the fisca year 2019 renovates and builds some other sport facility, including the Hasanuddin HM Sport Hall (GOR)Banjarmasin, the mini-stadium of Student complex of Mulawarman, Dharma Praja tennis field on Jalan A Yani Km 5 Banjarmasin.
Previously, the DPRD Commission IV headed by HM Litfi Saifuddin from Gerindra Party conducted an sudden inspection to these sport facilities. Here they found the implementation of the project, which using 2019 APBD, has not reached the target.
