17 Mei Stadium Guarantees as Barito Headquarters

Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The 17 Mei Stadium Manager Danang Nurlani confirmed that the stadium is ready to become PS Barito Putera's headquarters for the national football league in 2018. 

"We confirm the 17 Mei Stadium will be ready to become the favored PS Barito Putera match headquarters in the national league this year," said Danang after an audience with PS Barito Putera officials at the South Kalimantan branch of National Sports Committee (KONI) office on Wednesday.

According to him, the management will carry out stadium improvements as soon as possible to meet the standards as a place of national league matches, in accordance with the direction of the national league verification.

"The national league is planned to start before March, the 17 Mei Stadium will be ready to become a standard stadium for the league match," he said.

"For banua (local) football lovers, we are ready to work hard to do improvement to be the main choice home base of PS Barito Putera," he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant Manager of PS Barito Putera Sarifuddin Ardasa revealed his side still put the 17 Mei Stadium as home base.

Nevertheless, PS Barito Putera should still have an alternative home base, and the selected one is the Demang Lehman Stadium in Banjar District.

He insisted as the national league's premier stadium, the 17 Mei must be eligible. Therefore, his side had a direct meeting with the new manager of the largest stadium in the capital of South Kalimantan in order to harmonize to meet that standard.

Because, said Sarifuddin, togetherness is needed between PS Barito Putera with the stadium manager so each other can support the big game match will be running smoothly.
