The most common mode of human trafficking nowadays is by looking for workers to be recruited as migrants, said Head of Handling of Human Trafficking Victims (TPPO) of Women Empowerment and Child Protection Ministry Ciput Eka Purwianti.

She said, the job offered usually a fraud, commercial sex, and the new mode is looking for a married couple. 

"The terminology of human trafficking maybe not so familiar among people in South Hulu Sungai (HSS), or it might have not happened here," she said in the Institutional Strengthening of the TPPO Prevention and Management Task Force in the Qianna-Inn Hotel, Kandangan. Tuesday (9/9).

Deputy Regent of HSS Syamsuri Arsyad welcomed the event delightly and hoped the taskforce members to be aware of its important of and to cooperate in fighting against human trafficking so as not to happen or take a victim in the HSS.

Role of community, he insisted, is very necessary, especially in economic side as it is prone to be the root of cause of human trafficking.

"Today it would be better if the program is prepared, as it will be supported with budget, should be prepared from now," he said as he read 
remark represented Regent HSS H Achmad Fikry.

The participants of the event came from cross-sector, namely district government agencies, the local office of Religious Affairs Ministry, Prosecutors Office, and others. The event was organized by the HSS Population Control, Family Planning, Women Empowerment and child Protection (PPKBPPPA) Agency.
