The Ulin General Hospital won its second plenary accreditation as it passed the perfect level based on the accreditation standard of the Hospital Accreditation Commission (KARS) of the Indonesian Ministry of Health.
South Kalimantan Governor Sahbirin Noor after receiving the Plenary Accreditation Certificate from KARS here on Saturday said the certificate was one of the achievements of the ideals to make the Ulin Hospital the equivalent of a large hospital in Java.
According to the Governor, through this highest accreditation received by Ulin, then the government will encourage the South Kalimantan referral hospital to improve services and infrastructure.
"I hope, after this hospital services will continue to be improved to serve people with various types of diseases without abandoning human values and professional ethics," he said.
The governor said that health is the most important factor that all people and related parties must continue to fight for in South Kalimantan.

"Health is very expensive, if you are sick, no matter how great someone will not be able to work optimally, even as much wealth as anything, if the illness becomes meaningless," he said.
The governor invited the health team, the community and all relevant parties to work together to always maintain public health through all available facilities and infrastructure.

Hospital accreditation is an effort to protect patients from sub-standard services through services that are in accordance with standards and procedures, ranging from human resources, administration and communication, medical equipment, to other supporting facilities and efforts to improve quality.

Director of the Ulin Hospital Suciati said that the current accreditation received was the second accreditation, after the first was received in 2016.
