Banjarmasin, S Kalimatan (ANTARA) - A total of 50 prospective candidates (balon) for mayor-deputy mayor and regent-deputy regent have completed their health check at the Ulin Regioal General Hospital (RSUD) , Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan Province.
Ulin Hospital's Deputy Director for Non-Medical Support, Legal and Training Rusma Khazari here on Tuesday said that the prospective candidates of regional head are running for candidacy in 11 districts and cities in South Kalimantan.
To carry out the health check, the provincial government-owned hospital works with South Kalimantan Psychological Association and the South Kalimantan Drug Agency (BNNP).
“Alhamdulillah (Thank God) all candidate pairs have finished undergoing health examination from August 30 to September 2, 2024,” said Rusma, who represented Director of Ulin Banjarmasin Hospital Diauddin.

The prospective candidates of regional head underwent health checks at Ulin Hospital were from the districts of Tapin, Barito Kuala, Tanah Bumbu, Hulu Sungai Tengah, Tanah Laut, Hulu Sungai Selatan, Tabalong, Kotabaru, Balangan, also from Banjarmasin City and Banjarbaru City.
The examinations were carried out in full, from internal disease, hearts, lungs, high function, psychiatry, drug test, physical health to eye examinations.
Rusma pointed out that the series of health examinations were carried out independently, free from influence from any party.
The health team together with the Regional Election Commission (KPUD), he added, will unveil the results of the health checks today (Tuesday, September 3, 2024).
