Three students of high vocational school of SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan represented South Kalimantan in the 2019 national Student Competence Contest (LKS) to be held in Yogyakarta.
Regent South Hulu Sungai (HSS) said he was very grateful and proud for their achievement, especially SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan has previously represented the province in national level at the same event.
"They will ccompete in three different skill. We wish them to be just like their foregoers who won in national level and went to international contest," he said when he received their visit in his office and to see them off.
The LKS is an annual competition among vocational school students in their field of expertise and is equivalent to OSN (National Science Olympiad) held for junior and high school (SMP and SMA). National level LKS winners will represent Indonesia to the ASEAN Skills and World Skills International Competition
Head of Education Agency Nordiansyah said, the three students are Irliansyah to compete in Wall and Floor Tiling, Agus Maulana in Cabinet Making, and Muhammad Yusuf in Bricklaying contest.
"They are the best students of HSS were selected to represent South Kalimantan Province in LKS National on 7 to 13 July 2019 in Yogyakarta," he said.
He also informed that two other SMK Negeri 2 Kandangan students, Mukhlis to compete in bricklaying and Akhmad Sayuti in wall and floor tiling to represent Indonesia in international LKS in Russia.///foto: smkn 2 kandangan//disdik hss///
