Banjarmasin, (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - Governor Rudy Ariffin said that South Kalimatan should accelerate infrastructure with an outstanding development to keep pace with the growth of two-or four-wheeled vehicle that is quite rapidly in recent years.
According to the Governor after opening the South Kalimantan Province Development Planning Meeting (Musrenbang) in Banjarmasin on Wednesday, now this province has relatively good infrastructure and rapidly than ever before. "However, the growth of vehicles in South Kalimantan unusually high, making it necessary an outstanding infrastructure development," he said.
Some of the infrastructure development plan that is expected to begin in 2014, said the governor, is the construction of the motorway from Banjarmasin to Banjar Regency. Expected draft toll roads which across the region of Sungai Lulut to Sungai Tabuk, Martapura, can be completed in 2013.
Thus, he said, in 2014 started to be done and start the land acquisition could be offered to investors, both for pure investment with the private sector or in the form of sharing or cooperation with the provinces and districts of the city.
Two of the planned toll roads built include toll roads linking the city to the city of Banjarmasin- Martapura, 30 kilometers. Then, the toll road which connects the city of Banjarmasin towards Tanah Bumbu along 128 kilometers.
Construction of the freeway onto the coal-rich districts Tanah Bumbu Regency is a priority. In this case, the old 285 kilometer long line will be cut to less than half that travel time is reduced from seven hours to 2.5 hours.
The construction of fly over in the city of Banjarmasin which cost around Rp144 billion will be completed in 2014. Currently, the condition of roads in the city of Banjarmasin were highly congested due to high rates of economic growth and public vehicles.
