Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The State Administration Agency (LAN) is collaborating with Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) to produce reliable policy analysts who can later help formulate a strategic policy made by the government.
The cooperation agreement was stated in the MoU signed by the Head of LAN Dr. Adi Suryanto and ULM Deputy Rector IV for Planning, Cooperation and Public Relations Prof. Yudi Firmanul Arifin who represented ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi, Friday (3/5) in the ULM Rector's Hall in Banjarmasin.
Adi said the development of policy analysts was important because in fact, many policies were not properly developed. Finally a cancellation or a counter-productive policy occured.
"We often see regulations that have been canceled by the central government. Likewise, other regulations issued are then replaced again. This characterizes that policy making is not done perfectly," he explained.
Adi admitted, one of the weaknesses of the problem was the unavailability of reliable policy analysts in government agencies.
For this reason, LAN continues to strive to improve quality and prepare policy analysts, so that people who work in the formulation and evaluation process of a policy are indeed equipped with the knowledge and skills that are appropriate in their field of expertise.
While Prof. Yudi said, cooperation with LANs was very important and strategic to prepare professional workers who would later work in the government sector to formulate a policy.
