Batulicin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Military District Command (Kodim) 1022 Tanah Bumbu provided state defense education for Satui SLB (school for the disabled students) in order to form disciplinary attitudes of time, activities and others.
Commander of the district Lt Col CZI Bintarto Joko Yulianto through Rayon Military (Koramil) 04 Satui Commander Infantry Capt Aris P.H. in Batulicin on Wednesday, said state defense education is very important for children, especially those with special needs.
"This education if often done (hopefully) to foster enthusiasm in carrying out daily activities with the physical limitations they have," said Aris.
But it is different from providing material to students in general. Kodim needs special expertise, such as the ability to communicate with deaf children and mentally disabled children.
In order for them to feel good and easy to understand, the provision of material was done by playing methods.
"About 16 children with special needs are nurtured, and Alhamdulillah, they are very enthusiastic. We will continue the most important of this program until they truly understand the meaning of national defense education," he said.
