Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Deputy Governor of South Kalimantan Rudy Resnawan said he was interested in the potential development of regional bonds as a source of funding for regional infrastructure development.

 
According to Rudy, he received a lot of input from the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX) team and from the Financial Services Authority (OJK), related to the potential for regional development funding through bonds issued by the regional government.
     
"I have talked with the IDX Director and with the OJK about the description of regional bonds as a source of funding for regional development, the potential is very interesting," he said.
     
However, he added, he had not been able to ascertain the possibility of the South Kalimantan Provincial Government to issue regional bonds, because it had to be studied further and details the benefits and risks.
     
Previously, on Friday (15/2) South Kalimantan Deputy Governor was invited for the first time at the opening of the trade at the Indonesia Stock Exchange Building in Jakarta.
     
On this occasion, the Deputy Governor presented the potential performance of the capital market industry in South Kalimantan.
     
In the presence of national capital market business players, Rudy Resnawan explained the value of share ownership in the province of South Kalimantan was IDR 39.53 trillion.
     
Based on data from the Debtor Information System (SID), there are 14,263 investors in South Kalimantan. The data increased 67.94 percent compared to the previous year.
     
"The increase in the number of investors in South Kalimantan is the second highest in the Kalimantan region after Central Kalimantan," he said.
     
Investor's presentation in South Kalimantan to all investors in the Kalimantan region was 22.73 percent. While the total share transactions in South Kalimantan in the past year were IDR 3.26 trillion with an average transaction per month of IDR 271.56 billion.
