Amuntai, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The North Hulu Sungai (HSU) District Government through the Youth, Sports and Tourism Agency (Dispopar) will beautify and add infrastructure in the archaeological site of Agung Temple to increase tourist visits.


Head of the Tourism Destination and Partnership Section of the agency H. Subeli here on Thursday said, the development of the Agung Temple area could only be started in 2020. The HSU government has received official confirmation that it will get a budget of Rp2 billion from the central government.

"We use the budget to develop the Agung Temple site, because it is a leading tourist center that has been providing input on local revenue," Subeli said.

The budget for developing tourism in the regions has actually been channeled by the central government to several regencies and cities in 2018-2019, but HSU has not yet gotten it
