The achievement of MR immunization in Tabalong was ranked first in the province of South Kalimantan,
Tanjung, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Despite being ranked first in the realization of South Kalimantan's measles and rubella immunization, Tabalong District continues to extend immunization until the end of October 2018.


Head of Disease Control and Eradication Division of the Tabalong Health Agency Muhammad Aris in Tanjung Friday said the realization of MR immunization until this month was 56.90 percent or 62,361 children.
 
"The achievement of MR immunization in Tabalong was ranked first in the province of South Kalimantan," said Aris.
 
The second rank was achieved by Tanah Laut 55.87 percent followed by Tapin 54.47 percent and Kotabaru 52.82 percent.

Aris said he was optimistic that Tabalong could realize the target of 95 percent of MR immunization. It targets 71,546 children aged nine months to 15 years.

Data in the agency, the lowest MR immunization coverage was in Banua Lawas Subdistrict 5.48 percent and the highest realization was in Bintang Ara 90.41 percent.

Previously in this region, five children were found positive measles in Tanta and Murung Pudak Subdistricts.
