Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Members of Commission III of the Kotabaru, South Kalimantan, DPRD, Abdul Kadir and M Lutfi Ali, conducted a study visit to the Tourism Office of Samarinda City, East Kalimantan.

Abdul Kadir hopes this study will provide benefits and become a consideration in supporting the tourism development in the district of Kotabaru.

"This is part of our effort to learn about the management of tourism sector in Samarinda," said Abdul Kadir in a written statement here, Wednesday.

He explained that the discussion and information gathering regarding the management and develoment of tourism sector was conducted to obtain the necessary input.

"We are committed to support the progress of tourism sector in Bumi Saijaan (Kotabaru's nickname)," he pointed out.

Through the working visit, the commission is committed to continue to support the development of local potential, especially tourism sector, to generate positive impacts for the community and local economy.

During the visit, Commission III discussed various tourism development programs and strategies that could serve as valuable input for Kotabaru. 

This visit is expected to strengthen cooperative ties and exchange of experience in enhancing the local tourism potential.
