Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Kotabaru DPRD member  of the National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, Rahmad, promised development priorities in Wonorejo Village, Pamukan Utara Sub-district.

The legislator made this statement while attending the village's 41st-anniversary celebration recently.

"At the age of 41, development support is needed to progress for local residents," said Rahmad in Kotabaru, Friday.

He is committed to escort the residents' aspirations and making the development of Wonorejo Village a future priority.

Rahmad commended the unity of the ex-transmigration villagers who he considered successful in maintaining harmony for four decades.

He said the community's enthusiasm and the success of their joint shalawat event was the fruit of strong energy between the residents and village government.

"It's not just a slogan. without cooperation of the community and the village pioneers, this festivity is impossible to realize," said Rahmad. 

The legislator's presence drew high attention because it was the first time the village's anniversary was attended directly by people's representatives

Head of Wonorejo Village, Fajar Ikrar Pratama expressed his pride for Rahmad's presence. He noted that direct support from a DPRD member provided a morale boost to the village government.

"We appreciate his openness and his commitment to prioritizing assistance for the advancement of our residents," Fajar said.
