Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 29/11 (AntaranewsKalsel) - The boy with initials DA (8), resident of Sungai Andai, who was abused by her adoptive mother, is having hot water phobia.
"DA suffers severe trauma over what happened to him and he also had a phobia (fear) of the hot water which resulted in burns on his body," said the Head of Criminal Police AKP Arief Prasetya Sik in Banjarmasin on Tuesday.
He said the traumatic is not easy to remove. He needed a long time to eliminate the trauma which he experienced during the two years of persecution.
"May he grows in a healthy and would become a useful person for the community, state and nation later," said he who graduated from the Police Academy's class of 2005.
Arief, who is a former Jorong Sector Police chief, also said that this time the child is cared for by his uncle and he often came to Criminal Police office.
"The child remained in our custody and we do check at any time," said the former tiger one (chief) at Tanah Laut Criminal Police.
He said the perpetrator was the foster mother of the victim whose psychological has been checked and declared in healthy mental state. She is in the normal human condition in general, and not having psychiatric disorders, so the examination is done procedurally.
"The adoptive mother of the victim is currently in detention in order to undergo examination and further legal proceedings," he said.
