Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Muhammad Riduan, an Indonesian teacher at junior high school SMPN 4 Takisung, Tanah Laut, won a short study scholarships to Melbourne, Australia.
"I feel grateful to be elected to represent South Kalimantan winning scholarships to study teachers' professional development to Melbourne, Australia, from November 10th to December 4th, 2016," said Muhammad Riduan in Pelaihari Monday.
According to him, the scholarship was obtained from the Ministry of Education and Culture in collaboration with the Australian Government.
He was elected after successfully passed the selection of outstanding teachers in 2015 at the national level.
Selections made in stages starting at district, provincial, to national level.
He said, this is an outstanding teacher awards based on assessment on several aspects, such as education supervisory knowledge, innovation work of teachers, scientific presentations and innovations made.
Presentations made, he explained, in the form of students' increasing ability to edit the essay through methods Cartoon Games Connect (Perkasa).
According to him, a teacher must have creativity and innovation, not only when participating in competition or filing to be promoted, but constantly, resulting in maximum learning and the student's ability to be optimal.
He admitted, the district government support extremely large when following this selection, especially for innovation in learning.
Separately, Regent Bambang Alamsyah said his grateful that a teacher from Tanah Laut won a scholarship to study in Australia.
He advised that the opportunity to study in Australia to benifit as well as possible to gain knowledge and later share experiences about the education system in Australia.
In addition, regents hoped, Muhammad Riduan can introduce the Tanah Laut to the Australian government.
