Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Vice Regent Sukamta said the state elementary school SDN Atu-Atu will be the pilot school has garbage bank in Tanah Laut.
"SDN Atu-Atu selected to set up the garbage bank, because the school received the 2012 National Adiwiyata and Adiwiyata Mandiri in 2015," said Vice Regent of Tanah Laut in Pelaihari, Thursday (13/10).
According to him, the garbage bank in school is considered able to change the behavior of students against the trash.
Thus, he called, the presence of the waste bank can be a good education for pupils or students on the environment.
He explained, management of waste bank is able to make the school environment more clean and comfortable. In fact, he said, in terms of economic, inorganic waste can generate revenue, if recycling.
Through skillful hand, inorganic waste is recycled to become new creations useful items, such as bags and others.
Furthermore, he argues, even if the results of research and discoveries about the benefits of waste have been widely disclosed, but in the daily reality is still a lot of junk neglected.
Then, he explained, the waste bank in SDN Atu-Atu expected to be a stage of education in the form of waste management training in schools.
