Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banjarmasin Mayor Ibnu Sina led the nusantara ontel parade down the riverbank here on Sunday in a series of National Gathering (Silatnas) Indonesia Old Bicycle Community (Kosti).
Around 500 participants from various regions in Indonesia took part in the parade, including the Deputy Governor of Central Kalimantan Habib Said Ismail and the City Secretary Hamli Kursani.
Mayor Ibnu Sina was in the front of the old cycling trip with a distance of about 10 kilometer. He joined the board of Kosti Center, among were Bambang Waluyo Jati and Joko.
The archipelago old bike parade was the first held in the city whose nickname "city of a thousand rivers" attracted attention of the community. In addition to the old bikes used, all participants wore a variety of costumes.
Participants dressed in various archipelago ethnic garments, there was also a biker wore hanoman costume, reog clothing, bride clothing, as well as fighter-style clothing, such as Sudirman, Bung Karno and others.
Ontel parade is part of Silatnas. The previous day a workshop held by Kosti which essentially requires the preservation of old bikes in Indonesia.
Kosti also through old bikes engaged cultural cooperation with many countries with regard to the preservation of the bike, as well as a host of bike world congress in 2018 in Bandung.
In series of Silatnas was also confirmed board of Kosti South Kalimantan for a five-year period since 2016, led by the Chairman Mohammad Ary.
