Kotabaru, South Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Cement maker PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk won six gold medals at the 2022 International Convention on Quality Control Circle (ICQCC) which was attended by 15 countries.
Director and Corporate Secretary of Indocement Antonius Marcos said that it was great pride that all Indocement delegations winning the gold titles.
"This is thanks to the hard work of all team members to produce quality improvement material which is then displayed in the innovation methodology stage by using the right QC tools," he said, Monday.
The application of this innovation is also very important for Indocement, because it is able to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations.
Indocement has always been at the forefront in supporting innovation and ensuring itself that it is always ready to adapt to changing times and developing customer needs while still being able to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in the company's operations.
It is proven by the achievements of the Indocement delegation at ICQCC from year to year being able to create innovative works that have excellence.
A total of 15 countries participated in the event, namely Indonesia, Bangladesh, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, Vietnam and Zambia.
"A total of 4,518 convention participants were divided into 757 quality control circles (QCC)," he noted in a press statement.
At this convention, Indocement sent six delegates (G-Six) ??who were QCC and Quality Management Team (TMM) who have won the 2022 Indocement Innovation Awards (IIA).
IIA 2022 is an annual internal competition at Indocement which is a place for innovators to collide ideas in solving the company's operational problems.
G-Six won two Gold Prima predicates and four gold predicates, namely QCC Quantum (Plant 12, Tarjun Factory Complex) with the Tulta PDCA methodology won Prime Gold.
Second, QCC Non Stop (Plant 14, Citeureup Factory Complex) with the Tulta PDCA methodology won Prime Gold. Third, QCC Hariman (Plant 9/10, Cirebon Factory Complex) with the Design Thinking Methodology won the Gold title.
Fourth, QCC Okay (Plant 6/11, Citeureup Factory Complex) with the Six Sigma methodology won the Gold title. Fifth, the TMM Tiro Team (SSPD, Commercial Directorate) with the Six Sigma methodology also won the Gold.
Finally, TMM Tax (FAD, Finance Directorate) with the Six Sigma methodology won the Gold.

At ICQCC 2022, Indocement also obtained an International Appraiser Certificate, after going through a rigorous selection process.
The certificates were given to three Indocement employees, namely Winarta (QSMR), Difi Nuari Nugroho (Plant 6/11), and Suryana (Plant 12).
Indocement is one of the largest cement producers in Indonesia, producing Tiga Roda and Rajawali Cement.
Currently, Indocement and its subsidiaries are engaged in several business sectors which include the manufacture and sale of cement (as its core business) and ready-mix concrete, as well as aggregate and trass mining, with a total of around 4,700 employees.
Indocement has 13 factories with a total annual production capacity of 25.5 million tonnes of cement.
