"After urine tested the three bus drivers turned positive had used crystal methamphetamine (sabu-sabu)," said Head of Balangan Police Public Relations Aiptu Petrus Purba, Friday.
He said, on Thursday (18/3) at around 02.00 am, police launched Pekat Operation and deployed an entire unit functions led by the Head of Operations.
In the operation on the road, police stop any motor vehicle and examined persons and objects suspected.
Along with the operation, three Pulau Indah Jaya bus passed. Police immediately stop the bus for inspection.
From the investigation, members of Narcotics Unit Police found a set of sabu-sabu suction tool in one cigarette box known to belong to one helper on the bus.
On the findings of the three drivers and two kernet directly secured temporarily in order to further examination.
"We immediately did a urine test to three drivers and two helper and it turned out all positive for using sabu-sabu," he said.
Based on the description of one of the bus helper, they use crystal methamphetamine currently in Samarinda, East Kalimantan.
Bus drivers and helpers on Pulau Indah who underwent urine tests were identified as AM (driver), K (the driver), and J (driver), then Ma (helper) and Mo (helper).
"They are all still under investigation for the development of the case by investigator to know where the illicit goods originated," he said.
