He said the man already named as a suspect was identified as H (42), resident of Banjarmasin. While the victim was identified as M (40), a neighbor of the suspect.
The murder occurred on Tuesday (5/1) night around 20:00. At that time the suspect wanted to pick up his wife at a friend's home in the Teluk Tiram Darat.
When arrived at her friend's house, the suspect's wife hugged her husband. Feeling suspicious, the suspect immediately look into the house and there the victim was inside the house.
The two men had a fight. Victim holding a dagger. Because they were struggling, finally the knife stabbed the victim in the left chest allegedly penetrating to the heart.
"As a result of the knife stab, the victim died at the scene and evacuated by local people to the morgue of Ulin General Hospital," he said.
Yoga said after the incident the suspect does not escape, instead he surrendered to a Bhabinkamtibmas ( police officer assigned to a village as an advisor on security and public order) in Telawang Bripka Mistardi.
After that, the officer from West Banjarmasin Police picked up the suspect to undergo investigation for his actions.
