Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Banjarmasin's complete second dose vaccination has reached 71 percent or 366,650 people from the total target of 516,066.
"Alhamdulilah (praise be to Allah) we finally able to achieve above 70 percent of the minimum target of herd immunity as of March 25, 2022 based on data from the Health Ministry," said Banjarmasin City Police Chief Senior Commissioner (Kombes) Sabana Atmojo Martosumito here on Sunday.
Sabana thanked all members who involved in supporting the implementation of vaccination in the city.
Likewise, the synergy and cohesiveness of all elements, both TNI-Polri and other stakeholders who assisted the local goverment so that the vaccination acceleration runs optimally.

Sabana said that now the minimum 100 percent target for the first dose as President Joko Widodo's wish and the instructions of the National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo are his focus.
The achievement of the first dose has been recorded at 90 percent or 464,823 people in the city. Sabana said the remaining 10 percent that must be pursued requires hard work.
He assured there will be no holidays to serve the public to get vaccinated both the first or the second dose, and booster dose vaccine.
"Similarly the elderly, who have only 24,834 people or 54.39 percent got the first dose and 19,010 people or 41.64 percent received the second dose.We need to continue to pick up the ball to maximixe the achievement," said Sabana.
