Barabai, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Cetral Hulu Sungai (HST) District Government is exploring to collaborate with Mudfish No Plastic Foundation in Bali to provide education of plastic waste reducing in the community, as well as schools and tourist attractions.
"We together with the Regent have made a field visit to Mudfish No Plastic in Bali. The foundation is managed by foreigners from Italy, they are engaged in solid waste education for young people in Indonesia," said acting HST Regional Secretary Muhammad Yani, Wednesday (March 23, 2022) in his office.
HST planned waste education to be included in the curriculum in elementry and junior high schools in the district.
"If there is no obstacles, they will come to HST in mid-April," he said.
They will take action to clean-up Halau-Halau Mount in Batang Alai Timur Sub-district and provide educaton about plastic waste in schools and tourist attractions in creative ways while being busy.
"Because they have different nationalities, languages, and cultures, some are from Italy and other from France, so it is our opportunity to share experiences and introduce HST tourism," he said.
