Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Banjarmasin Police Law Enforcement for Subsidized Goods Task Force VII arrested a 3.6 tons of kerosene hoarder.
"The arrest was made thanks to the citizens' information that someone hoard and sell kerosene," said Chief of Criminal Police Invetigation unit (Satreskrim) Kompol Wildan Alberd here on Friday.
He said the arrest of Jalan Tembus Perumnas Kayu Tangi, North Banjarmasin, citizen was carried out by Task Force VII on Wednesday (11/11) morning around 11:00.
"When we catch UM he did not take fight and was cooperative to be brought to the Police headquaters for further investigation," he said.
Banjarmasin Police Task Force VII also securing evidence 3.6 tons or 3,600 liters of kerosene at the crime scene.
Wildan continues saying, UM has violated the rules, because he sold subsidised kerosene especially when Banjarmasin is implementing a conversion program from kerosene to LPG.
For the offense, the perpetrator charged under Article 55 of Law Decree No. 22 year 2001 on oil and gas. The perpetrator was not arrested, because he was cooperative, but the case is still running.
Meanwhile, UM said he had long been selling kerosene before Banjarmasin conversion. After the conversion, he sells LPG but not salable while a lot of demand for kerosene.
He acknowledged, kerosene obtained from the retailers who buy from Batola, Pelaihari even from Tanah Bumbu.
"I bought from them for Rp7000/liter and sold to peopleRp7500/liter, so I got 500 profit per liter," he said while in Satreskrim lobby.
