Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Head of the South Kalimantan Transportation, Communications, and Information Technology Agency (Dishubkominfo) Sufian AH declared his institution will conduct a large-scale improvement of public transport services, whether by land, sea, and air starting this year.


In 2015 National Transportation Day ceremony here on Thursday, he expressed today the process of improving transportation services begins as well as state government's slogan "work, work and work".

For example, said Sufian, for ground transportation services in the near future Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridors Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru and Banjar district will be operated with a fleet of central government assistance.

"This program has been prepared, including fleet, then operation continues to be refined in further implementation," he said.

For water transport services, said Sufian, some rivers transport dock continue to be addressed. Because the area is full of rivers that connect various regions, then the function will be maximized.

"There are four dock to be addressed this year, including river ports in Banjar Raya Banjarmasin, also in Barito Kuala and Tanah Bumbu," he said.

To seaports, he said, there are five packages from the central projects, including the Trisakti port Banjarmasin and sea port in Kotabaru.
