Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Tabalong Environment Agency disseminated waste management and environmental preservation in remote areas of Hegar Manah Village and Dambung Raya Village, Bintang Ara Sub-district.
Head of the agency Rowi Rawatianice said the dissemination was part of the Integrated Village Development activities in collaboration with several government working units (SKPD).
"The Integrated Village Development program from the Environment Agency includes planting trees and water sampling," she said.
The joint tree planting was carried out by consultative leadership board (muspika) of Bintang Ara sub-district, village officials, and villagers.
A friendly gathering with local figures and residents was also carried out, as well as the socialization of Indigenous Law Community (MHA), environment conservation, exploration and inventory of rare typical plants of Kalimantan and biodiversity.
The activities were expected to synergize development programs in all sectors for progress in the village by prioritizing local wisdom.
