Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Indonesia handed over the assistance of four emergency ventilators to support the handling of COVID-19 patients in Tabalong.
PT Adaro Indonesia's CSR Supervisor for Tabalong Lalu Nova Setiawan said that the four emergency ventilators were distributed to H Badaruddin Kasim Tabalong Hospital and Usman Dundrung Tanjung Hospital.
"This assistance is a form of Adaro's commitment to supporting the acceleration of handling COVID-19 patients," said Nova.
Tabalong Regent Anang Syakhfiani received the assistance accompanied by the Assistant for Economic Development Yuhani, Head of Health Office Taufiqurrahman Hamdi, and a number of officials.
Anang expressed his appreciation for the ventilator assistance and hoped that Adaro and partners to also support the district with the availability of portable oxygen.
"We propose that Adaro and its partners can also help with the availability of portable oxygen for patients with respiratory problems," he said.
Head of Health Office Taufiqurrahman Hamdie acknowledged the shortage of ventilators at the H Badaruddin Kasim Hospital following the high increase in COVID-19 positive cases.
"We need to add emergency ventilators in the hospital to accelerate the treatment of COVID-19 patients," said Taufik.
