Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - An Accused of robbery in the city of Banjarmasin asking the judges to get leniency from the demands of the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
"Defense plea read directly by one of the defendants," said a legal counsel of defendant M Fazri SH from LKBH Unlam Banjarmasin, Thursday.
The trial of a robbery at a gold shop in Kalindo Market held at the city's court on Thursday (2/4) afternoon.
In a direct reading of his defense plea Arief Gunawan, a defendant, pleaded for leniency on the grounds he had not been convicted previously, has children, wife and parents as his dependants.
The defendant also admitted his actions shooting in the robbery, was in a close quarters, wounding one of the victims.
"He pleaded once again to the judge for leniency from the life sentence demanded by the public prosecutor," said Fazri representing the accused.
According to the legal counsel, the defendant's wife ever mediate peace with Ifansyah, one of the victims, and the two have been signed a peace known by the chief of the local neighborhood.
Meanwhile, public prosecutor of the Banjarmasin Prosecutors Office Hazmi said it remains steadfast in its
original demands.
