Banjarbaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Siharat (acronym of local language that means Ready to Face Various Crimes) application initiated by the Banjarbaru Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Kelana Jaya will be nationally used to support public service.
"We never expect such a much achievement we gain with the Siharat app, let alone to be applied by the National Police Headquarters's Asrena (assistant in the planning division) and the Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry as a national app," said the police chief here on Wednesday (Sept 4).
Previously, Kelana Jaya told that on August 26, 2019 he left for Jakarta to fulfil the call from the Asrena and the ministry related to the police excellent service by using Siharat app.
Not only Banjarbaru, Sidoarjo Police and Metro Bekasi Police were also called to give their explanational about police program related to public service.
"Especially for Banjarbaru Police, then Siharat app which was launched since the beginning of 2018 is being studied and is planned to increase its status to be a national application," he pointed out.

Kelana Jaya himself was grateful the app he initiated has gained a very positive respond from the headquarters. While the Banjarbaru residents getting better known of the IT-based app.
"Of course we are very grateful as our will to help people to get the police service when and where ever they are has been realized through the app with such a easy use," he said.
In fact, since it was launched in January 2018 up till August 2019, the app has been installed by 34 thousand users and has been adopted by 12 sector police. Among them are Banjar Police, HSU Police, and Tabalong Police.
Also from outside South Kalimantan, such as Manado Police, Ternate Police, Manggarai Barat Police, Paser Police, Tapanuli Selatan Police, Minahasa Selatan Police, Flores Timur Police and Minahasa Utara Police.
"Alhamdulillah, the app has been adopted by other police, while for people it become easier to gain police service, and not to be easy to be a victim," he remarked.

For the Banjarbaru Police, now various problems, such as theft, drug, attempted murder and robbery, could be responded and handled quickly.
"Officers move immediately to respond a call through Siharat app, thus public needs were served by the present of officers not long after the call," he explaind.
Even some social problems were also handled by the Banjarbaru Police, such as a resident frightened of snake in the ceiling of his house, other has a flat tire, while some need blood donor, and so on.
