Kandangan, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry and Head of Daily Executive of the HSS Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) H Syamsuddin symbolically handed over aid to residents whose houses were still flooded in Kalumpang Sub-district.
“Residents whose houses are still submerged recorded, 400 families. Each house receives Rp500 thousand assistance for building footbridge,” said H Syamsuddin.

Regent H Achmad Fikry wishes that this disaster will soon pass and residents can return to their normal activities. The assistance was given to make a footbridge so they can do their activities with their feet without being flooded.
"The assistance for boards and blocks to make footbridge was a direct request from the community, when (myself) visiting the public kitchen in Kalumpang some time ago," he said.
Meanwhile, according to the report from the head of Daha Barat Sub-district, the water level increased by two centimeters per day but no one house was submerged.
"We also inform that starting 2021, each village in HSS has a budget for handling COVID-19 and for another disaster handling," he said.
