Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Head of Banjarmasin Health Agency Machli Riyadi said that the agency has recorded 32 health facilities ready as places to carry out COVID-19 vaccination in the first phase.
"The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination is planned for January 14. We are ready to carry it out, both vaccination officers and places, for this moment are 32 health facilities," he said in Banjarmasin, Sunday.
Machli Riyadi said, among the 32 health facilities, including 26 community health centers (puskesmas) and the Sultan Suriansyah General Hospital, belonging to the city government, which are the main implementers of COVID-19 vaccination.
"All health personnel in Sultan Suriansyah Hospital and 26 puskesmas have been trained," he said.

As is the rule, Machli Riyadi said, health workers at the forefront on handling COVID-19 will be the first to receive the vaccination.
Then it continues for the general public totaling 427 thousand who are proposed to get the free COVID-19 vaccination.
"Before the implementation, people should keep vigilant and adhere to health protocols," he emphasized.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 Task Force has begun imposing restrictions on community activities (PPKM) to reduce the rate of spread of the coronavirus.
