Jakarta (ANTARA) - An earthquake of magnitude 5.0 on the Richter scale rattled Maluku Province early on Thursday, the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) stated.
The quake, which struck at 2:35 West Indonesia Standard Time (WIB), was centered 206 kilometers northwest of Maluku Tenggara Barat District, at a depth of 125 kilometers, the agency noted.
The tremor did not trigger a tsunami.
