Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The government of Banjarmasin City extending the community health center (Puskesmas)services throughout the city from five to seven hours.
"Starting January 2, 2014, all Puskesmas in the city of Banjarmasin provide health services from 8:00 to 15:00 pm or longer than previous time service from 08.00-12.00," said Head of Banjarmasin Health Agency Diah R Praswati to reporters at City Hall on Thursday.
With longer service hours, the public can have free time in getting service. " In this additional service counter opening hours only until 14:00, while for service until 15:00," she said .
The extension of service hours is associated with the commencement of the insurance -based health care system called the National Health Insurance (JKN) , government imposed nationally in Indonesia including Banjarmasin.
The addition of this service supported by officers in the ranks of the Banjarmasin Health Office. They had agreed to an extension time of service at all Puskesmas in the city of Banjarmasin.
Monitoring and improvements will continue to be made. Moreover, said Diah , JKN -based health service delivery should be through the early stages of maximum services at the health center level.
JKN program started January 1, 2014 and gradually improved until 2019. JKN is one form of national health insurance that would serve the protection of the health of all the people of Indonesia. JKN organizers are Social Security Providers (BPJS) which is now called Jamsostek. JKN membership are civil servants, police, military, Jamkesmas, Jamkesda, Jamsostek until the general public can apply to the BPJS.
