Banjarmasin, 4/7 (Antaranews, South Kalimantan) - To curb the vehicles that are not roadworthy, wild racing and the drivers that may result in traffic accidents, Police Traffic Unit Banjarmasin hold 2013 Patuh Intan Operations.
Head of Traffic Police Banjarmasin, Commissioner (Kompol) Toton P Wardana Sik Msi here on Thursday said that the compliance operations conducted from 4 to 17 July. In this operation each rider shall obey all traffic rules on the road, and always complement completeness and equipment while driving.
"Every rider must always obey the traffic rules. In this operation we curb motorists who do not obey the rules of traffic," he explained.
However, based on direct orders from the National Police, the Traffic Unit is to carry out the concept of operations by carrying out pre-emptive 25 percent, 25 percent of preventive and 50 percent law enforcement for motorists.
So the Traffic Unit should be able to choose which offenses should be dealt with firmly and where the offense could still be given a lesson.
"We're just going to crack down on motorists who could cause traffic accidents and endanger other motorists," said the middle-ranking officers while in his office.
