Kotabaru, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - The Kotabaru Penitentiary is now being supplied with clean water for the daily needs during the dry season.
It was after the PDAM water distribution experienced disruption due to water debit has decreased.
"Yesterday we sent a letter after water distribution was being scheduled and today we received two tank of water," said Head Section for Guiding Inmates/Fostered Children and Work Activities of the Kotabaru Penitentiary Rudi Hartono, Friday.

He said, the water need for inmates was served through special lane, while the need for official residence and kitchen was served through public channel. But the scheduled distributed was no longer sufficient for the daily needs of 800 inmates.

"We have a borehole but it can't be used because it's turbid. And water from borehole can not meet the needs of all," he added.
Meanwhile, water which is usually supplied twice a day, in the morning and at night, to the blocks of prison. Now with the condition of limitation, the inmates were asked to save in using water.
