The City Government of Banjarmasin through the Office of Cooperatives, MSEs and Employment spread a circular requiring companies to pay a holiday allowance (THR) no later than one week or H-7 before Eid-al-Fitr 1440 H.
"Today we have distributed the circular letter to companies," Priyo Eko, Head of the Office of Cooperatives, MSEs and Employment, said here on Monday.
The agency also open a complaint post in its office on Jalan Pramuka, East Banjarmasin.
"If until a deadline there is a company has not paid THR, their employees can report to us," Priyo said. The company, he continued, is obliged to pay a THR of one month's salary.
He stated, there were around 1,400 companies in Banjarmasin that were recorded in his institution.
Priyo emphasized that companies that violate or are reluctant to give THR, will be processed according to labor regulations.
"We make employee reports on the company as proof of follow-up reports," he said.
During his tenure, said Priyo, the company in Banjarmasin was considered obedient in giving THR to their employees. It was also proven, there was no employee reported about THR.
