South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor receives an award as the Builder of Occupational Safety and Health (Pembina K3) from the Indonesia Manpower Ministry.
This is the third consecutive year Sahbirin received the same award since serving as South Kalimantan governor.
The award was received by the Deputy Governor H Rudy Resnawan at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Monday (22/4) night.
Head of the South Kalimantan Manpower and Transmigration Agency H Sugian Noorbah said the award received was an appreciation of the achievements of the Governor in providing guidance in reducing the number of workplace accidents and improving the work management system in the province.
Based on the assessment of companies that have implemented a K3 management system and zero accident, as well as companies that implement HIV/AIDS prevention programs at the South Kalimantan Provincial level continue to increase. This year 104 companies have recorded, up from last year with 89 companies.
"Of the 104 companies, 84 companies have implemented OSH management and no workplace accidents, and 20 companies have implemented HIV/AIDS prevention programs," he said.
According to him, every workforce has the right to get protection for safety in carrying out work for welfare and increase production and productivity.
