Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of South Kalimantan Regional Police Sr Comr Muji Ediyanto said in connection with the implementation of the 2019 election, the service for driver's license (SIM) is closed for four days from April 17 to 20, 2019. This is according to the National Police's telegram letter about national holidays.

"The members of the National Police will focus on securing polling stations (TPS), thus services such as SIM are temporarily closed," he said, Sunday (4/14).

As for the people whose driver's license expired on the holiday service date, they can make an extension from 22 to 27 April 2019. If the date has passed, the officer applies a new SIM issuance mechanism. In this case the applicant must take a theory and practice examination.

Muji hopes people who will submit new SIM can take advantage of the holiday time to learn to see examples of theoretical and field practice exam through the internet such as on Youtube and other sites.

"Make sure the applicant understands the traffic rules and is skilled at driving vehicle, before taking the test to get a SIM," he insisted.
