Barito Kuala Prosecutors Office (Kejari Batola) had saved state funds worth Rp615,014,000.
The money came from the collection of loan funds for the purchase of subsidized fertilizer without interest from the management of the farmer group whose returns occur in arrears. The money from the collection has been deposited to the district treasury.
The submission of financial rescue was carried out by the Head of the Prosecutors Office (Kajari) La Kanna to the Batola Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS at the regent's office on Monday (25/3).
"In the case of criminal offense, the prosecutors not only do prevention and punishment of perpetrators, but there must be a refund of state money," La Kanna asserted.
Regent Hj Noormiliyani handed over the award certificate to La Kanna for the performance in saving district finance. Regent on behalf the district government expressed the highest gratitude and appreciation to the Kejari.
"These are all district government loan funds to farmers for the purchase of subsidized fertilizer from 2008 to 2017," she said.
Previously, Acting Secretary of Batola H. Abdul Manaf admitted that some of the interest-free loan had still not been returned.
