Regent Barito Kuala Hj Noormiliyani AS stated to regulate the Qur'anic art of reciting and writing as a local content subject for elementary, junior, and high school students in the district.


She made a statement after considering the recommendations of the Barito Kuala (Batola) Quran Reading Institute (LPTQ) resulted from their meeting during the 50th National Quran Recital Competition (MTQN) for the district level in Marabahan.

"God willing, we will follow it up. Currently the regent's regulation regarding this is already exists, just to follow it up," she said on the sidelines of the closing of the 50th MTQN in Marabahan, Monday (18/3) night.

Previously on the implementation of the 50th MTQN, the Batola Quran Reading Institute chaired by H Mirsani held a Regional Work Meeting (Rakerda).

There were three recommendations it produced to be proposed to the Batola district head, including requesting that the regent to make a Quranic art of reciting and writing as a local content subject for elementary, junior, and high school students until Batola free from Quranic illiteracy.
