Governor Sahbirin Noor said South Kalimantan is ready to host the Indonesian Karate-Do Federation National (Forki) Championship to encourage passionate young people to excel in the field of sports.
South Kalimantan's readiness to host the Forki National Championship and at the same time the 2019 KSAD (Army Chief of Staff) Cup was delivered to TNI Commander Air Chief Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto.
Previously, on Friday (3/15) the Governor who was also Chairman of the South Kalimantan Forki and his entourage met with the TNI Commander in TNI Headquarters Jakarta. Hadi Tjahjanto is also the President of Forki.
The Commander conveyed his pride and gratitude for the readiness of South Kalimantan to host national sports, including karatedo. This is a manifestation of the regional commitment to support the improvement of national sports achievements.
The Governor was accompanied by special staff Rizal Akbar, Chairperson of Forki South Kalimantan Hamzah and other administrators.
At the gathering, the Commander in Chief, in addition to discussing Forki programs, also explained the condition of state stability in general.
