Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - Board of Directors of PT PLN expects the Kalimantan electricity system to be interconnected in 2020 in a better service for electricity needs.

"In principle, the electricity resources in South Kalimantan are not a problem," said Secretary of Commission III for Development and Infrastructure H Riswandi SIP, quoting a statement from the directors, Tuesday.

Regarding the frequent buypet (blackout) of South Kalimantan electricity, it is not because of lack of power but the Kalimantan interconnection network is in the process, quoted the three periods member of DPRD.

But in the future, the PLN is determined to provide better electricity services in South Kalimantan, which now has a population of four million, said Riswandi on the sidelines of the recess activities to meet constituents in his constituency.

Meanwhile, PT PLN South and Central Kalimantan's data on the electricity available to the two neighboring provinces include the Riam Kanan hydro-power plant (PLTA) in Banjar District with a power of 3 X 10 megawatt (MW).

Then the Barito Sector gas power plant (PLTG), as well as the Asam-Asam steam fueled power plant (PLTU) in Tanah Laut with a power of 65 MW.
